We did a quite large renovation of a midcentury house in Roslyn Estates, NY. It was designed by an understudy of Frank Lloyd Wright, Edgar Tafel. We wanted to maintain the spirit of the original design, especially with regard to the kitchen. We are gourmet cooks by hobby and wanted a good balance of functionality and beauty. Marlene was right on the mark with her design concepts. She was easy to work with, very accessible and responsive. We had a few iterations of the island design but she didnt give up until we came up with all the elements and size that we wanted to incorporate. The cabinet choices and layout of the varoius componants was perfect. The kitchen has a wonderful flow and makes perfect sense. Aesthetically, it is spectacular.
